Carecore National Open House for LEED Building

CareCore National and the Town of Bluffton Development Corporation are conducting an openhouse of thier LEED Certified building and the Don Ryan Center for Innovation on January 14, 2014 6:00 pm.

Fraser Construction built the now certified sustainable building in 2010. The building achieved the US Green Building Councils Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Certification for New Construction.

Under the LEED New Construction version 2009, the building achieved 40 of 110 possible points.  The score summary is below. Additional info can be found on the USGBC website project directory at this link.

The CareCore national headquarter building is a Design-Building 31,200 sq ft, two-story steel framed office building designed and constructed with a sustainable design. It serves as the new headquarters for CareCore National. The exterior is designed to appear as multiple smaller buildings to fit the image of the existing Buckwalter Place streetscapes. The exterior finishes include standing seam metal roofing, storefront windows and doors with variations of stucco and brick veneer, canopies, and exterior window shading structures. The interior is particularly illuminated with day lighting skylights to both introduce natural light into the building's interior and to reduce energy consumption. The building is heated and cooled by a high-efficiency mini boiler and cooling tower.  The interior is constructed of basic office quality finishes with a nicely upgraded executive are finished in stain woods and an upgraded lobby with a spacious and highly finished corporate look.

Lee and Parker Associates of Hilton Head was the design partner with FraserConstruction.

Sea Pines Clubhouse Almost Complete

The Island Packet Newspaper writer Tom Barton published an article today on the Sea Pines Heron Point Clubhouse progress. Fraser Construction has been underway with the project since demolition of the Plantation Club in November 2012. It is scheduled to be complete later this winter. The new facility has new features such as a golf teaching center.

Bluffton Outpatient Center Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting

Hilton Head Regional Healthcare's Bluffton Outpatient Center at 75 Baylor Drive will have its ribbon Cutting Ceremony Tuesday January 14th.

The new 60,000 SF campus houses a first class comprehensive diagnostic imaging center, adult and pediatric physical therapy, speech and occupational therapy, cardiac services, hyperbaric and wound care services, anti-coagulation clinic, multi-specialty physicians office, plus on-site lab services. It is also the home of Hilton Head Health's nationally accredited Breath Health Center.
